Tried using the 3G mobile network in Southport for the first time on the 16th May.
the direct link to the stream is http://locus.creacast.com:9001/3g_binauralmobile – obviously when it’s live you will be rewarded by something.
I didn’t record the actual 3G transmitted sounds, which I will do that next time so that I can appraise the transmission. However, the audio was also being sent to a Tascam DR680 in full resolution – 192kHz at 24bit.
It was a windy day, but being surrounded by tree’s and stuff, it was quite a good event, and the 3G signal didn’t seem to have been dropped either, so I may go there again. Seeing Carp in the lake was quite awesome too, there were loads of them.
to see the GPS link and live audio link for when I am doing live events please see the link on my main website homepage, normally if I am free at the weekend I will be doing this only at these times.
I will try and do another entry soon, with images of the setup and computer (raspberry pi) settings for easy replication if you would liker to try this thing too.
